Clunking noise

I have stock suspension (yes I did search) and I am hearing a clunking noise when I turn right and when I hit small bumps from my front passengers side wheel. What could it be? When I searched everyone who had the problem had already dropped their car.

I had the same problem, just replaced my strut arm bushing and sway bar bushing. My strut arm bushing was disintegrated, and crumbled when they went to pull it out. I bet that's what it is, either that or a ball joint, or cv joint. Thought mine was a blown shock, turned out to be the bushings

Yea is it a loud clunking or is more like clicking noise? clicking noise mean your CV joints are shot.

I hear a slight click coming from my driver's side wheel well when I start to accelerate,... could a bad CV joint make this noise??

also on our cars(well atleast on mine) when Will put new brakes on the car he had to take out two pointless screws to do it and it clicks when I start to accelarate too......so i would think that before CV joints......but if not the CVs could be on the way out

I took my car in to a shop (a family friend with a huge wheel and tire store) and they told me it was some kind of pins and it would cost 70 bucks installed, they didn't have the parts then but could get some when I told them I was on my way the next time. He also emphasized that it is perfectly safe to drive.

Hmm, I will have to try this. Mine clicks only when turning. This was about 1 month after having both transaxels replaced. The cv joints look new and there is no visual cues to indicate damage or wear.

I wish I could really figure this out. It almost sounds like the tire is hitting something in the wheel well. There are no unusual signs of wear on the tire either. Hmmmm

The best part is, it doesn't click all the time! doh! I tried to have a friend check it out for me, and it decided not to click that entire day.
