Imrc Valve

I read a couple old threads that people with sprchargers have disconnected it to prevent knock or something, i have a high boost pulley, should i unplug the imrc ? Will unplugging cause any lose of power? Sometimes at full throttle i hear a fast clicking from the engine any ideas what this could be? My fuel pressure is at 100psi at full throttle and 38 at idle is that good?

Ps keep an eye on the gallery for the next few days to see all my new mods

I tried it both ways (Low Boost Pulley), on the dyno. I made more power with it connected.

Check out ThinJim's comments on this in my dyno thread. He's had a degree of success with FI...

I believe any power gains you'll see with the IMRC connected won't be that great in comparison to with it disconnected. Many people experienced knock with it connected.

Sorry guys, total newbie question. What exactly is the IMRC? I couldn't find anything searching here, but Google revealed that it's the Intake Manifold Runner Control. Just trying to understand how it has an effect on knock.

Wow, I'm surprised that the admins here don't allow editing after 5 minutes from the original post. Anyhow, I just happened to come across the IMRC info I needed when reading a thread on headers...

Just a heads up...good thing to check if you ever feel your car isnt performing as well as usual.
