I don't mean to reduce your efforts to figure out your car, but it would have been easier to buy the part new and install it yourself.

But good luck on figuring it out.

Yeah but why spend the money if its ok you know. You know that saying, "If its broke dont fix it.." Well I tried to fix it now it broke, or just cant figure out how to put it back together.. Aint that a bitch. And I dont want to drive due to it tuning I just had done and this piece not be on there to mess anything up. Looks like I will have to buy it if I cant figure it out.

Typer- have any suggestions. Since its not this anymore, maybe??

How did you get the case apart? I had to break the thing do get it apart. I also don't see how you would make it stay together after taking it apart.

save yourself ~$80!...Take the top big gear out of the cover its attached to....the spring goes in slot on side of the big gear(upper right in relation to the pic)...place the small little free wheel in the slot on the brown piece...load the spring while its inside its slot with the brown piece with the wheel side out...you have to keep the spring/wheel combination compressed while you fit it into the bottom cover...you might not have the gears lined up when you put it in the first time...so take it out and realign so that when you turn the gears by hand the full range of teeth are used...might take you a couple tries but you should figure out the full motion the gears need to travel.
