IMRC Needs to be Disconnected???
I'm planning on installing the Supercharger soon...I've heard someone on this forum said that you will Need to Disconnect the IMRC when the supercharger is installed. Why is that? what will happen if the IMRC is connected? the Symptoms? I thought the IMRC activates the VTEC and increases our HP...call me stupid but I"m a little confused here.....
It is a Simple Butterfly valve that opens up to let air flow dump directly into the runners instead of bouncing around in the intake manifold then going into the runners..
Disconnecting it leaves the butterfly valve closed since you are forcing air into the intake manifold via Supercharger.

ahhhhhh I get the picture now....I'm starting to mod the ride now since I've paid the car off. Its been stock for 3 years now hopefully things will improve within the performance

If you're running standard boost pulley, you do not need to disconnect IMRC. If you're running high boost pulley and have marginal fuel, disconnecting IMRC helps with pinging problems at VTEC changover. Keep IMRC connected if you can do so without issues.
