Im new here...

hi everyone, i am new to the cl community. i just recently bought a 2001, white, acura cl-s w/navigation. its a great car! does anyone know anything about the stock 6 disc being capable of having aftermarket subwoofers hooked up to it? i normally hook up my own audio equipment but im hesitant do to the navigation system being so close. will i need a aftermarket cd player for subwoofers and an amp?does this effect the nav. at all, might sound stupid but i just want to be safe.

The audio forum can help you with the answers for your stereo. FWIW, I have an amp and 2 8" subs in my trunk and the rest of the stereo is completely stock.

BTW, welcome aboard

Welcome to the board.

Yes, you can add just subs to the stock system. I haven't done it myself though, but many have.

Welcome. There was a post on the Blackmarket with some audio stuff. A bunch of cars use the stock HU and just add a good sub and amp. That's all you really need.
Good luck.
