This just in!!! It's not safe no matter where you park it! Someone will find a way to hit it! They hit me today. Some fucking asshat backed into my CL today while I was at work. I go out there to leave the office for a little while and when I walked up on the car, I notice a small dent in the trunklid near the bumper, then I notice all the scratches all over the top of the bumper. FUCK!!!! I'm so pissed right now I could rip heads off! The worst part about this is they didn't even leave a note! The other thing that makes me so mad about this is I ALWAYS park in this same spot next to the curb, away from all the other cars. No one can park next to me, in front of me, or behind me. How the fuck could some fucking moron not see it and hit it!? Makes me so gaddamn mad. After everything I do, bending over backwards to take car of it, parking it near NO ONE, and being anal as hell about the car in general. WTF!

Damn left nothin? Id kill somebody...seems like the more you try to avoid everybody, the more shit happens to it. The farther away you park...when you walk out, theres always somebody next to you.

I agree big time on this one. I remember parking two states over and some assclown would still want to squeeze up next to me OR I'd come out to find where some blind muthasucka had rubbed his fat ass up against my car Anyway! Doesn't help the paint is micro thin and the skin is about as thick as aluminum foil.

and sucks that it really shows up on the NBP. mine has a stupid little scuff mark and the paint is cracked under the clear coat cos of some brainless driver that smacked my car. there's nothing left but to leave in the past and get it fixed.

Not sure, but, it was the strangest thing. It didn't seem like a car backed into it or anything because there was no paint scraping. The damage was a perfect rectangular outline...and just the frame of a rectangle too. So, whatever hit my car had to be some like a giant cookie cutter...




I'm way over it as this happened 3 months ago. I had to pay the deductible for the damange but it was still $500...

i know just how you feel, i always park far away from other cars at work but some how i still get my bumper dented and it chiped my paint when i pulled it out and alot of door dings

Update...

Last night I polished the majority of the scratches out. There is a little tiny spot where the paint came off and it's cracked on the bumber but it's not too bad. The white marks you see in the pic all came off. Thank God!! Also, I was able to get most of the scratches out of the dent. I think the dent can be fixed by paintless repair and I know some guys who do it. I hope to be able to get it fixed soon. If not, at least it doesn't look like total shit anymore since it's real subtle now.

i feel your pain man, completely. a couple years ago when i was working at shaws and had a '91 acura legend sedan the same thing happened to me, except worse. there was a lot of about 25-40 spaces in the very back of the parking lot set aside for employees only and i always took the same exact spot towards the back. one night i come out of work and find my drivers side rear taillight completely smashed to shit, the whole quarter panel dented in, and the bumper damaged as well..i was like WTF!!!!! no note, nothing. this damage was so excessive that it didnt even look like someone had backed into me, it looked like they had rammed me or something. long story made short i never found out who did it, the range of the lot camera conveniently only covered the customer parking area and i had to pay a deductible for insurance to pay for it all..damn people that cant drive!!!

my other quick accident story since its kinda on topic..in the same legend about 5 months later im driving by my local police department, speed limit is 35 im doing about 30 to play it safe cuz they have cameras and cops pulling in n out all day. i was on the way to school and without warning this recent generation VW golf just backs out in the road directly in front of me, the guy didnt bother to look in the road before backing out. i slammed on the brakes and actually came to a COMPLETE STOP and then the guy slams into me..i was so concentrated on the road and hitting the brakes that i fumbled for the horn but couldnt get to it in time. i get out and was freaking out, IMO rightfully so, i was like "WTF ARE U THINKING U FUCKING IDIOT!! U HAVE TO BE A TOTAL RETARD TO DO THIS" he was like "oh im sorry too bad for you" he had ZERO damage to his car and my front bumper was falling off and the paint was chipped on the front passenger side fender. he was like "oh well the damage doesnt look to bad are u sure u want my insurance info?". im just like "ARE YOU JOKING?!?!" in the end his insurance covered every penny of the 1300 in damage and i didnt owe a dime. but that really ticked me off, the guy was just a total fucking idiot and couldnt even accept responsibility for his actions, trying to tell me it was my fault. im like "how is it my fault when i A) had the right of way B) you didnt check before backing out and C) i was at a complete dead stop when u slammed into me.

try parking in a normal space w/other cars, i think that person intentionally hit you knowing that other cars cant park next to you, in front, or behind you. hes probably thinkin, "this person thinks he too Kool for the rest of us, bam!". in my opinion, park with other cars so you blend in, and you'll be less likely hit.

Man thats wack. I know how you feel. I had some jerk run into my passenger side and I was lucky. Just a dent w/ some paint transfer that came out with a rubbing compound. Shit cost me like $500 in paintless dent work. I know about bieng anal. I can't be too anal though as mine is a daily driver. If I find the S-O-B that did it I'm gonna make them think twice about damaging other peoples goods! Those sorry F_ckers!
