If you had the money...........

Hey guys,

If you had the money,

what would you do to the CL-S. What mods would you put on? Give me every details.

If it was me, I would get a twin turbo setup if they made one, make the car lighter, upgrade the engine and all that etc.

I think if I had another $10k to spend on a car, I would have bought something else
Our CL-S is great, especially for the $28k I paid for it. Sorry, but if you start putting too much into it, there are other vehicles I would prefer.

Don't forget also, anything over stock won't be covered by insurance if it gets hit or swiped.

Dont get me wrong I LOVE my CL but if i had more loot i would by something with a little more aftermarket support. Prolly like a s2000, used supra tt, used 300zx, and leard to drive stick on it. Our cars are great but not modded east, they dont even have a body kit for our car, forget the twin turbo!

If I had the money I'd buy another CL with a manual and eat the depreciation.

but if i was forced, obviuosly i would do everything possible..headers, sways, springs, tires, CAI, twin turbo, nitrous, 3.5 upgrade, dvd screens behind my seat, the best sound system, some nice 19inch rims, wood steering wheel, custom bodykit, a deadly alarm, and of course a type R sticker.

If money weren't an issue I'd still get a CL, just a Mercedes CL 600 and take it to Ren-Tech.

Heh heh...if I had the money, I would use it to develop a bodykit for the CL, market it to you guys, make a bundle, and then do everything possible to it. Only go-fast parts though, no BLING BLING stuff.

Well, I'd keep the CL for the fuel-efficient car and daily driver...

My project car:

Lexus GS430 [Onyx Black, tinted out]

RMM supercharger running at 6psi, i/e, LSD, T/C, valve body, strut/sway bars

TEIN HA coil-over suspension

AP racing brake upgrade

Lowenhart BSD 20" chrome wheels w/ Pirelli's [P-ZERO'S BABY!]

Veilside wide body kit

Boston Acoustics sound system powered by PPI
Sony TV's, VCR, etc.

Armed by Clifford Intellipage alarm system

This would be one of the few luxury sedans on the road running high 11's / low 12's rolling on 20"s...HAHAHA...

We all can only dream...

oono, why not the SL600? Why settle for an 8 cyl. when you can have 12?

Well, if I had the money, I would have a Supercharger installed... if anyone made one. Truthfully though, if I had the money, I would buy either a Lexus GS430 or a M3... maybe an M5. If I had even more money- I would buy a Ferrari 360 Modena... If I had even more money, I would buy a strip club! hehe, had to throw that in!

I'd doing everything I've already plan on doing to my CL...plus buy a 2002 Escalade, bodydrop it and 4pump it as my tow pig. Get a nice enclosed trailer. Go with an m5 as a daily driver, turbocharged 2002 M3 as my sports car. Not to mention a barstool powered by an r600 yamaha motor. Shifter car too...those things are a blast.

If I had more money I would have bought a completely different car. If I wanted a go-fast car, I would have gotten a Firehawk and strapped some boost to that, or a WRX and done the same to that.

The only mods I plan to do to the CL-S would be CAI, exhaust, and maybe some sways or something suspension-wise.
If I find a couple Gs laying around, wheels and tires.

Well, after reading all this, I might as well just buy rims for the car.

I was hoping to get some good ideas on what to do to the type S like getting a twin turbo setup, or NOS or whatever.

I'll just slap on the 19s lowenhart and lower the car.

Hmmm... S4 with a Stage II APR or GIAC chip... Yup, I think that would do me!

If I was really gonna go all out, I would do an engine swap with the RS4 which I think is close to 380hp from the factory. (Only made in Europe right now though.)
