NOT COMPATIBLE. Our transmission is a 3 shaft. The new transmissions are 4 shaft. Completely different design internally.

Putting the car in neutral isnt going to do shit. The injectors are still squirting fuel into the motor at idle. When you decellerate, the injectors cutoff, so no fuel is being used (until you reach 1200rpms IIRC).

So youre better off just letting off the gas and keeping it in gear.

It must be doing something as there is a 10mpg difference if I don't.

The point of me putting it in neutral is I can go further while I'm coasting instead of the car engine braking and slowing it down.
