Another CLS6 bites the dust

The title says it all. Woman blew though a red light. no one was injured too badly. Car is a total loss. I feel like got a fair settlement from state farm.

Its been real fellas. Got a lot of great pointers from this sight, hopefully my contributions we're beneficial too.

Good that you got a decent amount from your insurance. Sad to see another CL go (and a 6MT at that...)

Roughtly $11,400 after tax and fee reimbursement.

They wanted $1,600 for the buy back. Didn't end up buying it back.

For $1,600 to buy that car back, I can see why junkyards are such a money maker.

Unreal.

I don't have the know how to do anything with the car. The body shop wanted to buy the car from me, but said $1600 was too much...who knows. For me, I'd just as soon take a bath and have the headache be over.

I hear that. I guess I have bad luck, since these types of things (problems with cars and such) always seem to happen right when I've got my head wrapped around 10 others things at once. Then the car comes along and kind of demands your immediate attention...ugh.

I'm sure my trans will crap out when I'm a situation like this.

$11.4k is a nice payout. How many miles were on it?

And I would have bought it back, the engine/trans is worth that much alone, everything else would have been profit.

Did the airbags blow? Side airbags too?

73000 miles. All airbags we're still intact.
