Id bet its coolant, not oil. It would take a crazy hit to crack the oil pan.

proably coolant from the radiater getting so bashed in, and as long as he shut it off when it started steaming they will be perfectly fine, the thing i be more worried about is the motor getting impact damage to it from the crash

also the tranny is on the completely opposite side that it got hit on too

true but the mounts can give some give and the axle can also give a little too, and anyways he got hit in front of the axle, and by the way it looks his tire would have actually run into the side of the other vehicle

The suspension would give way long before the block or tranny does.

I only seen one engine block crack in a car accident, and that was a head on crash. Pontiac G6 vs Chevy Blazer. The impact was so viscious it cracked the block on the G6 and broke the body off the frame on the Chevy.

if you hit the suspension dead on, you could stuff the axle through the tranny, but yeah it takes quite a bit of a hit for that to happen,

and the op's accident is actually not that bad, just that it caused enough damage to total it

All that tranny fluid is from the other vehicle. Lady couldn't get her car into gear after the accident.
