Logically speaken the Ice-box filter is more covered than a CAI and make same power, there is no fear of hydrolock thats only if you value your engine , Ice-box cost about the same as others and is made of plastic which is more heat resistant than the metal CAI no matter how coated they are except for Xepher that one is made of plastic also. I believe the Ice-box makes more torque than the other intakes and the filter is easily re-oiled making it easy to do every other oil change like Comptech recommends. The K&N filter on the aEM and Injen require I believe 40K but you can do it every other except it is much harder to do. I think I've pointed out many pro's to the Ice-box and the only con is it doesn't look cool under the hood "looks too much like stock" and the CAI makes a cool sound if thats what your into not to say the Ice-box is quiet at WOT I think it sounds beautiful
ah, what lou said . . :P

If you drive in dusty conditions or where they use sand in the winter, you should be cleaning your filter more often.

Lets just say that all intakes make same power which I think is not true because the Ice-box gives more....but even if they did a FOAM FILTER is a better filter than the paper the others ones are. Its better on your engine and without exposing it to the outside ...making it that much better than all the others...as far as noise that is all opinion...foam filter being better at filtering dust and debris is a fact...Why do you think you have to recharge the filter every other oil change or every 7,500...cause it does its job better keeping your throttle body clean and internals cleaner. Same power increase and cleaner engine and no fear of hydro-lock ...I don't know how this can be a difficult decision...2+2 =??? :nobrainer:

Just my

for those who want the roar and the looks under the hood, and especially a bang for the buck get the aem cai!!!

The icebox does not decrease our growl over stock, it just doesn't add, correct?

Correct. It might be a tiny bit louder, but not intrusive at all.
