Does anyone have an ice box dyno on there cl-6 i am curious about the whp gain some is telling they got 10 to 15 i raised the bs flag on forum i find it hard to believe that means you would gain like 20 to 25 at the crank and noway thats happening from an intake

Actually it might not be totally BS. PEAK gains won't be large. At the top end, you won't see gains as high as you will in the midrange RPM's. The icebox helps a great deal for torque\horsepower at midrange RPM. Gains there could be about 10-12. I think comptech has an icebox dyno on a 6spd on their website.

edit: comptech icebox dyno for 6spd - http://www.comptechusa.com/images/dy...spd_icebox.pdf

as you can see it improves midrange torque from like 2800-4800 by 11 or 12, but you see decent gains at any engine speed. Horsepower is also alot better in midrange but shows gains of 10-14 all across the 5800-6800 RPM scale. I'm sure comptech's dyno's are a tad skewed and a little higher than real life, but I can definetly tell you mine helped a great deal

Nitrotiger, I'm in south jersey as well. Where are you at?

i see but lets be real here 15whp comon thats crazy. I do inderstand what your saying though. Maybe if you do the throttle body i may start to brlieve it. Lot of people dont know about that and thats half the cost of a cold air intake i may do that to my tl with a drop in.

forked river your very close im near toms river

almost know one would belive 25 WHP from headers either...but you can choose not to belive that either ,because if the '04 TL in your gif is your car...you wont ever know...

Nitro, an upgraded throttle body? for the CLS? Who sells one? I've never heard about an aftermarket one. Where and how much?

Yeah, I'm actually in toms river right now, at OCC, in class haha. we're supposed to be learning the computer but A-CL seems so much more interesting.

typeR, I agree, I can definetly vouch for that header WHP too .. according to my butt dyno

Isn't it true that you will get more out of a header\icebox combo tho since more air can get in and out more quickly and efficiently?

you can NEVER have headers unless so swap out your heads ,but comtech is coming out with a j pipe for you that might offer gains in the 10 hp.lbft range maybe alittle more...mods are complicated...some are less than the sum of there hole and some are greater...i.e. turbo 50 hp...exhaust 10 hp..together 75 hp
