Where did you read that? What does oil/antifreeze usage have to do with the spacers?

I used my drill with a grinding wheel. Took less than five minutes to grind the opening a little longer. Can't really tell any modification t0 the engine cover was made unless you look close.
Today is the first day that I had my car out for an extended drive since the install.
The top of the plenum cover was much cooler than before the install. Before the install the cover was hot to the touch and now it was only moderatly warm.
For the price, not a bad engine mod.

I have been over to Geoge Kwai's shop a couple of times. I am out in the western suburbs so Kwai's shop is a little out of my way. I started using GRD here in Naperville. They tuned my Unichip and install my UR crank pulley.
I agree with the salt crap, it's hard to keep a car clean and pick up a lot more hood chips from the salt being kicked up. I can't really feel much of a difference, guess my butt dyno is not sensitive enough to pick up 7-8 hp. The plenum cover is much cooler, so in theroy I would say it delivers some gains.

Since the TB spacer is used, the MAP sensor moves to the right (towards the battery)... so the cutout on the engine cover for the MAP gets in the way and needs to be widened.
If you only use the manifold spacer, then no need to cut anything.

I called Outlaw Engineering today and spoke to Shawn Morgan. I asked him if he knew the status of the group/bulk buy for us. He stated that a few people have called and questioned him, but nothing has been set up. He recalled giving someone the priceing.
He also said that a board member or moderator normally sets everything up. He said that he will take a more proactive approach and contact someone, if needed.
Is someone setting this up? If not, who does he need to contact? Does anyone remember the quotes that he gave them?
Also, he said that it may save us 10%. I am not sure if that will be worth the wait. It will probably take a few weeks to get this together.

How long does it normally take to get a GB together. I have some free time this weekend to do the install. I may order it tomorrow and hope that I get it Thursday. $10 is $10, but I don't know if I can wait.

(turbo). I could see if you were running coolant through the TB still, by in my opinion it is not needed. Therefore I paid $95 for 1 CNC'd piece of plastic and a couple bolts and studs... 
Oh well at least I didn't have to make it myself

I just ordered mine. I hope I get it Thursday because i want to install it on Friday. I did not want to wait on the GB.
What will I need other than basic tools, TB cleaner, and gasket remover? Can I use the TB cleaner to remove the gasket?
Does it come with 4 gaskets, one for each side of the TB spacer and one for each side of the intake manifold?

The kit come with 3 gaskets. Two for each side of the TB and one for the top of the IM Thermoblok gasket.
You need a torque wrench, a gasket scraper, 10, 12, 14 mm sockets with ratchet, TB cleaner, and a set of open spanner wrenches (comes in handy when removing the studs).

How do you guys feel this would effect the performance of an engine when used in combination with the Mugen Cooling Mods? I am not SC'ed at the moment but considering squeezing this summer and want to get the engine mods needed to run it all safely. The outlaw spacers are going in for sure, but as for the Cooling mods, needed or not?

this is a little beside the thread topic but has people here removed their engine cover? The engine cover seems like it keeps a lot of the heat and I'm thinking if you removed it it would keep the engine bay a little cooler resulting in maybe couple HP?
