I thought my Kumho Ecsta was sticky..
Well, it's sunny out 60's with dry roads and I got out from school early today. So I decided to had a little fun with CL-S, so I was sitting at the stoplight by myself and I decided to turn of the VSA off and leave it to Automode. I took of normal then mashed the pedal to the metal, computer shift to the second and my tire squeel. It's loud enough that people on the other street sidewalk would look twice on me.
BTW my tire spec is 17X7.5 + 225/45/17 with 85-90% thread life and 2nd gear pulls hard like mofo.
Your thoughts?

I think it's cool when our Tires chirp hard into 2nd... there any not many FWD automatic cars out there that can do that, the only other one I was ever in was a GTP and it was pretty highly modified.
How are the tires off the line??

I know two CLS drivers with Kumho Ecsta Supras on theirs and they both have no problems. I am thinking about them since I need tires soon but I'm wondering where to get them from... I don't want ones that will bubble on me. I'd rather pay more and get Toyo T1-S Proxes if that will avoid the chance of getting crappy tires.

And I'm on a budget too, I just don't need the headache of spending $400 on shitty tires only to have to spend more money to replace them. I'd rather spend $700-800 on the Toyos and have less worries.
That said, I'll probably end up getting the Kumhos because they are much cheaper and I can't afford shit right now.

I guess My Toyo T1's are too new. I have yet been able to make them chirp in any gear. I also get no spin off the line. I also have 42PSI in all 4, which may be a factor. I have about 1700 miles on them.
