Just had my new Transmission installed this week from Acura of Ocean in NJ. They did a great job, got me the transmission after 1 week of reporting the trouble. Also had the rear-view mirror replaced, it was not darkening in the bottom left. New one works great, seems darker than the old which is great.

 

I'd be interested to know if there was a batch of defective transmission units and that's where all the troubles are coming from, or if they're all prone to problems and are spread out (i.e. early 2001's and late 2002's).

Anyway, it's good they gave you top notch service within a quick time period. So far, no transmission problems with my TL, it works great. Our Sunnyside Acura dealership in Nashua is FANTASTIC.

 

I'm not sure, I mean I told the dealer I push the tranny and drive hard. I figure the transmission should be able to take anything the engine can throw at it.
