I just got a quote.... please offer opinions!

Hi everyone! I went down to Pasadena Acura ver the weekend while I was in LA. Spoke with the saleslady there and I got a quote of $33K plus some change out the door. This is for a Black CL Type S W/ Navi, spolier and mudflaps. Keep in mind, the 33K is out the door, everything is int he price. She even offered to cover insurance for a month for me. Is this a good deal?

Thanks!

Yeah when i said out the door I meant everything, meaning that's the final price. Well I've only been insured for 2.75 years or so and the insurance agent said the rates will e better when I turn 21 and no tickets and all.. Told this to the sales lady and I got a snese she REALLY wanted to see this car, BAD. Walked in and told her my deal, saying I didn't want to buy till august, so she did her job. Every TL she had was sold, it was NUTS. Even the one in the showroom was sold and just not picked up. I saw the Aegean Blue on both a TL-S and a CL-S and decided I'm gonan go for black.... that pic with Adrienne in a Blue one looks WAAAYYYY better than what it loos like in person. Now that I'm bakc in the bay, time to go over to Pleasanton and see what they will sell it to me for.

*PS* For those who said Pasadena Acura is the shit, you were right. PS... AVOID Sierra Acura buncha mofos!

Those guys will sell you a car basically for anything... just do the offer.

FUCK Serramonte Acura..oh yeah...and they're a bunch of racists!!...I would have bought it from them if they went to $600 over invoice...wouldn't budge $200...so, I left...went straight to Mike Harvey and told them...look I want it for $500 over invoice..period...just went through the paper work after that!!

I feel that you may be getting ripped off. The invoice on the CL-S w/Navi is around 29400 you should be paying about $32100 with everthing. And that is given a couple hundred $ above invoice.

Seems like a good deal. I ordered a 2001 cl-s blk/blk, NAVI, mudguards, and wheel locks for $33,296 w/tax, lic, reg, etc. (8.5% sales tax) I should get mine within 2 weeks. They didn't have a blk w/navi so I had to order it.

hahaha... geez that bad eh? I guess that rules out Serramonte... u know what they say, word of mouth is the best advertising.

Anymore CLS owners with navi out there wanna tell me what they paid out the door (especially California owners)? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks all!

To make long story short: I traded-in my '00 Accord V6 for CLS without any additional downpayments and took it out of the door for $32K. That was in january this year.

You gotta remember tax in CA is 8.25%. $29400 + tax is $31825. So with tax title and license, you are looking near your price of 32100. Except not too many dealers are willing to sell it at invoice still and the price I got quoted was 33K, with Wing, with mudflaps and they would cover my insurance for 1 month. The 2 dealerships I was at charged between 800-950 for the damn wing!

Shit if you are getting a wing and mudgards go forit. It is a good price. I didn't know that the tax in Cali was 8.25% in TX is 6.25%
I just paid for a non navi $375 above invoice.

BTW dont get the inusrance through them it is going to cost you an arm and a leg.

I paid 30,600 (before taxes, including destination) but I was willing to pay a little more for a better dealership. If anything happens to my car, I will get nice loaner car. Rallye has a good reputation on Long Island.

Also, demograhics plays a big role in pricing. I went to www.edmunds.com and I found out the "true market value" of my car in my area. I paid $200 less. Go there and check it out.

I agree with the other Texan on here...IMO, that's a great deal considering the 8.25% tax. Right on par with my calculations.

Noo.. they are offering to cover me for free for the period of one month till I turn 21. That's how bad they want to sell it.

Make sure it's WITH Tax/Tags.

My end price was $31007 for a non-navi with spoiler and wheellocks (thrown in free)

So $2000 more for the navi version sounds about right.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

i went to Rally, and they ripped me off with a similar deal with a showroom car. call Smithtown Acura. not only did i get a better deal, i got a better financing rate (1.5% better). i worked out a deal over the phone and told them that i wanted under $33K with all my accessories, and they gave it to me for $30,350 ($32929.75 out the door). Rallye wanted $32,791 before taxes for a showroom car which was beaten up inside, so i took off. i HIGHLY suggest u call Smithtown Acura and work on a deal over the phone!!

Actually... my fellow Bay Area friend... you're wrong. State Sales tax is 8.25% so the counties and cities cannot exceed that.
Here's a link that may interest you . Sales tax in SF is the same as the state, 8.25%. If you buy a car from another city/county, you pay the sales tax that corresponds to the city you are registering it. If I went to Pasadena, bought the car there, I pay Pasadena's rate of 8.0%. But if I buy it in Pasadena and register it in SF, I pay 8.25%.
