The wheel gap all depends on what tire size you got on your 18s!!!

What size tires did you get????

FYI
235/40-18 is almost EXACTLY the same as the stock 215/50-17 in radius and revs/min.

225/40-18 is a little small, so it will make the wheel gap look bigger.

You dont NEED an alignment when you change tires, but I ALWAYS get one when I get new tires!!!!

I would recommend it!!!

Actually, the 225/235 is the width of the tire. The height of the tire is the 35/40/45/50, If you would have gone with 225/45/18, there would not be as much gap. I am still not sure of what kind of gap you are talking about, from the edge of the tire to the edge of the wheel well ? OR from the top of the tire to the top of the wheel well ? If you are not happy with it, lower it.

Correction - 225/40/18 are closer to stock!

I am going for the same set up as you (18" with Comptech drop).

Will you have any pictures available?

Nope. :shakehd: AztecRol was right, 235/40/18s are almost exactly the same diameter as stock. Check the link zamo posted: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
