I got problems with the Law

So, i went to go the Joe Rogan last night in Nashville. You know "Fear Factor guy" anyways i had a few, then me and my girl went to checkers of all places. I forgot to turn my lights back on since it was 8th avenue and it's pretty bright and i wasn't 100% anyways. I then was pulled over by a motorcycle cop. Long story short-i got a citiation for my 20% tent. I can't find how much the fine is on the ticket. He said i need to remove it, and said "you can scratch it off with a RAZOR blade", i laughed at him and said nah man i don't think so. I don't live in this county, should i not worry about it and just don't get pulled over or should i go to the place that i bought the tent from and ask for a receat for the 35% tent to make it legal? I in no way plan to change it to 35% i just want something that said i did it.

Feedback Please

Tennessee Window Tint Law
Tennessee Tint Law Enacted: 1990
HOW DARK CAN WINDOW TINT BE IN TENNESSEE?

Darkness of tint is measured by Visible Light Transmission percentage (VLT%). In Tennessee, this percentage refers to percentage of visible light allowed in through the combination of film and the window.
Windshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
Front Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in.

HOW REFLECTIVE CAN THE TINT BE IN TENNESSEE?

Similar to sunglass lenses, some tinting film contain metallic elements that help in reflecting incoming light and reducing the glare and heat generated by visible light.
Front Side Windows No metallic or mirrored appearance.
Back Side Windows No metallic or mirrored appearance.

OTHER TENNESSEE RULES AND REGULATIONS
Restricted Colors No colors of tint are explicitly banned.
Side Mirrors No restrictions.
Certificate Requirements Manufacturers of film do NOT need to certify the film they sell in the state.
Sticker Requirements The sticker to identify legal tinting is required between the film & glass on the driver’s side window.
Medical Exemption State allows medical exemptions for special tint. For more details about the specific terms of the exemption, consult your state law.

the only option you have is to get a medical exemption for your tint because you cant get the legal tint sticker with illegal tint.

If you really want to push the issue you can get the legal tint with the sticker in between the tint and glass and then get another layer put on over the top of the legal tint

Lesson learned, what can you do?

Every state has different laws regarding window tint...if anybody were to ask the same question I'd say just check with your local law enforcement agency.

meh, besides this thread is more sounding like a car talk thread.
