I’m FRIGGIN worthless today !!!
I just got out of a 1 1/2 hour meeting with two structural Engineers on a new project we’re starting and I don’t remember a single thing that was said.
I hope I didn’t make any promises I can’t keep.
All I know is the dealership called and all my Spoiler and accessories came in via Fed-EX this morning and the car is being “prepped” as we speak.
I’m ditching work a bit early because they are only open until 6PM and said delivery takes about an hour and a half.

Yea, I’m heading out of here in a couple minutes.
It’s been a REAL productive day.
Look for some photos later tonight around 8 or 9.
Got to make the rounds and show off to some local friends.

Shawn S, some pre-emptive advice:
Keep an eye on your tranny oil. I'm not anticipating a tranny failure of any sort, but a helical gear limited slip differential is unusually hard on lubricants. What bears the force of limiting wheelspin on a clutch-type LSD are the clutches. In a helical-gear LSD, the gear oil bears the force. This is true until the oil film fails, which then allows metal-to metal contact between the worm and pinion gears. You don't want that to happen.
I totally cooked to complete failure (black sooty appearance) my diff oil in a matter of only 17K miles of spirited driving. What tipped me off was the metal-to-metal clacking (film failure) coming from my Torsen diff, which was cured with the change to premium synthetic hypoid gear oil. Nevertheless I would have rather avoided the whole clacking thing (which is a symptom of wear) altogether.
Your FWD transaxle and diff share the same oil. The bad part about that is that your manual tranny oil has viscosity modifiers added to allow the syncros to work correctly, meaning that the oil that lubricates your helical-gear LSD can't be as specialized for that sole appilcation as it can be for a car with a separate diff casing. What runs through your manual tranny and LSD is a compromise of the two applications. But the good part about this situation is that it is both incredibly easy to check the condition of the oil that lubricates your diff and to change that oil.
Summary: Check your tranny oil regularly, like every time you change the engine oil.

Wow! Gone for just 24 hours and you miss a whole lot.
So Shawn you're finally getting the car? Can't wait to see the pics tonight.
Are you going to redo all those "personalized" mods again?
Congrats man!
