Hypercluthes for 2g CL
yo heeltoe, I have a clutch setup for my car, includes all 3, pressure plate flywheel and clutch disk. I can get you the same setup built for you to sell through clutchmasters and sachs with any type of material on the clutch disk, your choice of 170% to 500% over stock pressure plate and lightened BILLET t-6 aluminum flywheel with replaceable surface for about the same price you will sell for, and its all clutchmasters and sachs racing components, quality and a history to back it up. I have a house out in lake forest as well if you wanna hook up and make the deal to hook these people up let me know, I have my setup installed now and can show you the quality of the products, and if you can sell to them with less than 10 cents on the dollar profit I will get them built and ready for shipping a.s.a.p. it would be wonderful if you could do this for our community without putting profit first because it is true that we pay WAYYY to much for our parts wether its dealer or aftermarket. thanks.. p.m. me for my number and info if you think their would be interest on your part
and I can get you at least 6 different kits! any surface material on the disk ( kevlar-cintered iron-carbon- organic-ceramic- in any combination-sprung or unsprung-your choice of disk, full face all the way down to three pucks! your choice of pressure on the pressure plate and the flywheel is super sweet!!!! i will post pics of my used one

You're crazy. Why would anyone need an iron disc? and kevlar is crap. With the right pressure plate you guys probably would not even need a puck disc.
We are working on a solution
I'll let you know if I need more parts for input.
cintered iron is a blend of iron carbon and composites, and kevlar is the longest lasting material for a clutch disk. I dont appreciate being called crazy but i will forgive you since you may be uninformed, and when your boosting or have a built block you will need the pucks buddy. I was asking in case you wanted to do the cl community a favor and still make 10% for yourself,I guess 10% and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping fellow acurazine members out is outweighed by greed huh? not only that but i could have got you in good with a lot of companys like hondata, clutchmasters, sachs racing and various others that I actually know personally. sorry to bother you bud, I thought you were different

I know what an iron disc is. I just don't see why someone would need something that extreme in a CL. Are we looking at 1000 hp here? Cintered iron discs are used in drag racing application.
Kevlar does last a long time. But it has a crappy friction coefficient. We'd need such a beefy pressure plate to hold any real power that that the pedal would get too heavy.
I am not trying to call you crazy. I am not really uninformed though. I know it is important to somewhat overbuild your clutch system, but there is a reasonable level where more is not better. I totally see the possbile need for a puck clutch, and we can get that done if need be. But for drivability concerns (these are supposed to be nice, smooth driving cars, right?) we would like to avoid a puck if at all possible. Even a sprung hub will not make up for the drivetrain shock and on/off nature of a puck.
I am trying to develop something new. I am trying to figure out what your post is saying to be honest. In truth, I prefer not to discuss manufacturing techniques and profit margins in the post. Lol, why do I want the members knowing my percentages? Honestly, if you have the solution to the CL Community's clutch woes, why is it such a hot topic?
You don't need to reply, that's ok. I am sorry if I offended you. I understand you want to help. I am pretty sure we can handle this in-house though. I prefer going though my own vendor for clutches.

Measured the clutch splines and came up with 1.125 dia, and 24 spline.
Do I need to resurface the flywheel. I don't really want to but it's opened up anyway.

I have spoken with a few people and did some research on your vendor, please do all of us a favor and ask them where they get their raw materials? hint hint!! and who makes their flywheel because they dont make them! after you start getting complaints on your products and having trouble with your vendor not backing up their product because of the so-called low( but not really) price, you can hit me up about the setup that I have worked extremely hard to get for us, wasted a ton of my time and yes it is important because I have 2 kids and a business to run now. talk to you soon and yes the cap of 10% profit will still stand! we should not be in it for the dough here, you and I both know this.. if any other vendor is interested you can p.m. me for the details, I dont have time to deal with the sales so I will 3 way you to the owner of the company that will be building the setup and they have informed me that they can ship to buyers address at no extra charge. you can deal with them from there on, I will not be getting one cent out of this but I will have the satisfaction of knowing that all my and their time and r&d can be utilized for more than just my vehicle. heeltoe, sorry if I am sounding like a d*** but I am sure all of us here are tired of getting low quality S*** for our cars at high prices. I was so dissapointed with my C**P**ch flywheel and clutch disk, not so much the flywheel as the poor quality clutch disk that I feel i got cheated out of 1250 bucks! anybody interested can get a group buy going for all the 6 speeders on here, I dont know how so you can ask ron or one of the other moderators on here. thanks

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a year since we tried doing this.
Anyway, I don't care what your second or third hand sources say. Clutch Specialites was MY VERY FIRST supplier over 5 years ago. I have sold countless products without issue. The initial sample I got from them 5 years ago is still in my CRX today, holding on strong.
Lol, Sorry for sounding like a dick? Heh, you don't sound so sorry actually.
So how are these awesome clutches you are offering holding up? I hope they are doing well. Wait...running a business...pushing clutches? Are you an actual vendor here?
Marcus

i thought we were all here to stick together and lend that helping hand
