Oh man I would so love to race one of those in my Type S! The race in it self would look sweet.

It will be powered by the 3.9L V8 from the Lincoln LS. So it has about 252hp and 260? lb-ft of torque. The car is sure to be a brick though. The LS sure the hell is. They weight at least 200lbs more than a CL-S. The T-Bird will be smaller but convertibles are heavier so I doubt there will be any significant weight savings. All in all, I'd look for low 7s in the 0-60 sprint. Nothing we can't handle As far as handling goes... well... as someone else said... "it's a Ford... how good could it be?" You could also say... how good will a 3700-3800 lb car handle?? I know the LS doesn't handle as well as a CL-S. Pricing is to be around $40K. Style ain't cheap is it!!

Looks aside, specs/numbers anyone?
I remember it's based on the same platform as the LS so it's got to be FWD, unlike the previous generations.
What engine? A blown V6 or an N/A V8? I forgot...

I liked the old/original T-BIRD. Just don't know if the new one will grow on me. I'm pretty sure our cars will pounce on it, unless Ford/aftermarket make a supercharger available for it.
