458whp, kicking ass and taking names.

I think Comptech was quoting 40whp. Were they not?
Or you can just get some sand paper and hand port and polish your intake runners like richardparker did and get 35 hp.

But I don't think his PR2 plenums will leave room for the SC shaft. I'm not a 100% sure though. Not that those make that big of a difference in the HP.

The plenums will most likely take away from the power numbers.

what!!! port and polish got how much on our motor!!!!???
holy canoli!
if I can get another 20-30WHP off the XLR8 cat. full custom 2.75 exhaust, and port and polished runners and manifold.. I would be more than happy.
I just NEED to see 250 WHP that's my goal gentlemen (i want in whp what the car made to the flywheel)
So I do not even have to port/polish the head? just runners and manifold??
and this will get me like 15 HP you guys are saying?
oh my fingers are crossed noww
is there a thread on this topic or DIY... pretty please (i think I just found my winter project!!)

actually p2r has ported runners for sale on their site.. and I am sure they do it the best outta anywhere we know.
So what if I buy these I should see a 10hp gain for sure? no head work, no manifold porting or tb work??
point me in the right direction please n thankyou

if you're going to start port/polish, you need to do from the throttle body to the runners...that would be the proper way to do it. Keep the easy flow going all the way. It would be cheaper to find a local place.
Why not just bite the bullet and stoke the motor. Might as well the way you're going. You'll always want more, so you might as well spend ur $ on something big. You'll end up spending almost as much on these little things.

Personally I am gonna just port my tb for now and put my p2r plenums on. I gave up on getting a s/c.

I looked on their web site and it's still listed.. along with many others. 389.99 is the price
yea.. I am all power mod for the most part.
1st Injen CAI
2nd Option UD pulley
3rd P2R plenums
4th tb spacer
5th CT headers
I think you'll like those plenums. U can just feel the motor is more beastly.. especially down low much more steady tq. and top end is a tad better too.
it's not like an intake when u feel the gain at one point. the gain is all the time so it's hard to tell how much it gave you per se unless you did a b4 and after dyno. Only 2 ppl have to my knowledge. P2R and one other member on here

damn they just emailed me back and said they no longer offer it :-( shyt.
gonna see if they can find a used set and PnP them.
I don't wanna take the runners off and send it to florida and then get them mailed back to canada. that'll be a huge inconvenience and still cost just as much probably.
we get dooped here in canada for almost everything when it comes to automotive performance.

You don't have to send them to florida, I'm sure you can find a local shop that could do it just fine.

Did you mean "prove it"?
CT Engineering has developed a supercharger kit for the TL/CL and Accord that increases power by 40 to 60 horsepower at the wheels depending on the model of car. The supercharger uses a “Eaton-type” design that provides consistent boost and compresses the intake charge efficiently with a minimal increase in the intake air temperature. This combination provides almost instant boost that increases low and midrange torque for excellent throttle response.

I said I thought, they claimed 40whp. I did not walk up in here and throw my fist down and say its 40whp.

I got pulled over with both bottle hooked up and open. Cop searched my car and impounded it bc I got arrested for, well I'm sure most ppl know why and my situation. But never said anything about the bottles. But yes, afaik, in illinois if ur bottles are closed ur fine. Elsewhere it might be diff. But u can always hide ur bottle

Not all states have banned it. Here is Mississippi they just did. Friend of mine told me a high speed chase involving a T/A and a cop that tried to keep up and killed himself, was to thank for that.

Hey progression I was just joking about the 35hp. I was busting Parkers balls. You might get 10 hp and that i even kinda doubt. Maybe if you did the throttle body, intake, runners, and heads, you might get 20whp.

And P2R runners are severely overpriced. Im glad he no longer carries them, saves some people from wasting money. Find a local place and have EVERYTHING ported. TB, manifold, runners and heads. If you just do a few pieces thats not going to gain much. Think of it as your exhaust. It only flows as well as the least efficient part.

yea I think I am gonna get everything done including the heads..
I'm gonna start saving guys, and head down there in the winter. get the tb, manifold, runners, and heads fully done, along with a custom 3 inch exhaust.
I'm going for broke here guys :-) (maybe I am wrong) but it might just end up being the most beastly n/a, non tuned, true j32a2 we've seen in an auto cl yet.
I wanna see what the max is.. :-)

Blown is Best
The SC's story is not all told in the peak WHP gain. The SC gives usable horsepower across the whole RPM range (think area under the curve).
There are cheaper alternatives if all you're going for is peak HP - Nitrous being one of those. Great for straight line full throttle performance but not so usable on the track or driving agressively through the mountains.
As with anything, start with what you're trying to accomplish and find the most efficinent way to get there.
