How Much Is It Worth...?
I was wondering how much I could/should get for my car. I plan on selling it next spring or summer and getting an AWD truck of some sort, but don't know if I would get more for it the way it is, or if I should part it out and try to sell it stock. I would like to sell it with everything on, but I know modifications decrease the value of cars. KBB said I would only get $12,500, but I think I could probably do a little better.
She just reached 43,000 miles over the weekend and the stock clutch and tranny are running perfect. As far as paint, the car looks immaculate. She rarely sees rain, and is garaged during every storm. (both winter & summer) My current list of modifications is listed below in my signature, but I also have a bunch of other things I would include such as: Stock rims wrapped in Blizzaks, all-season floor mats, spare set of OEM floor mats (used for shows) and all of the stock parts like the radio/exhaust/intake/shocks & springs/sway bars/light bulbs and everything else I replaced with aftermarket parts.
What I'm hoping to get is an honest opinion from you guys of what you think I could get for my car, and if you think I'd make more money by parting it out and selling it stock or leaving it as is.
Thanks!!~

with 06TL with navi going for $20K, you'd be lucky to get 12K for your car

ok, you not looking to sell for a year? Yet you expect to gauge value now?
Now value is $11K-12K. That's book. Your mods will only net you more $ if you find a buyer that will pay for them. Or you find a buyer that REALLY wants your color combo, 6MT, & mods, then you may get $14K+.

most buyers will stay away from modded cars due to the fact that 99% of the time, people who mod them drive them harder

You would probably do better selling the mods it is worth while for you to remove. My headers are $150 and you couldnt get me to remove them myself if you gave me $$200 for them. List it on Autotrader at a higher price than you are comfortable paying and see what bites. Some kid with lots of dads money may be diying for your car and he may not even check KBB or he just has to have it and doesnt know the value of money. Regardless of what anyone tells you the CLS is one hell of a nice car for a first car for anyone and in my demographic parents are spending 8-15K for started cars all the time. What you have on your side is TIME. Its actually the only thing you have on your side. Wait it out. When the offer comes take it. The car is reliable as hell and safe + you got the manual which will prob make a 16 year old boy pee in his pants with glee. Also low milage and GOOD GAS MILAGE! There will be lots of people who will try to tell you it isnt worth shit but they will brobably be asking you to sell it to them also.
