How much did you pay for extended warranty?

Now that I have my silver CLS, was negotiating an extended warranty. 1450 for the 7/100K with a 0 deductible is what I'm being offered from my dealer. Can I expect lower?

Thanks,

Smeg

Extended warranty on an Acura? LOL! You must be used to GM products.

My ignorant ass bought the same thing...but I think mine cost about $1400 or so. Same 7 year/100,000 bumper to bumper...

I'm expecting to actually use the warranty...hopefully not too much will go wrong..I just want to justify paying extra for it

I got the extended warrantee. Didn't pay that much. I traded in my Maxima as part of the deal and wanted an extended warrantee to cover any little nasties that show up.

Just as a note, I have a friend with a '93 Maxima and it is falling apart. Every week a new piece is breaking. Extended warrantees maybe silly to some extent, but some of us like to keep cars a long time (like me). If my buddy had purchased an extended warrantee on his car, he would have saved a ton of money, and they were generally well built cars!

I got my warrantee for less, but we were doing so much horse trading that it would be hard to give you the exact price I paid.

I negotiated the guy down to $1100 for the extended acuratotalcare warranty and then said "nah, don't want it". So I know u can go at least as low as $1100. Probably even lower.

I got the 7/100,000 no deduct warranty.
I plan on keeping this car for at least that long. Yes its an Acura, but there are tons of expensive electronic thingies in this car, plus is was made in usa (we had people with mis-aligned trunks & paint blips, who knows what else could be hidden and lurking!). Even my japan built integra has some glitches where the extended warranty helped out (ac compressor, heating fan)
What is really nice about the warranty is they get paid a flat amount on what is replaced. So if you are having a problem, they are more prone to just replace the few parts that may be wrong (faster and more profitable for them, better for you), rather than rack up labor charges to find the exact part. Its good at all acura dealerships (good if on vacation), and covers a rental car. Just make sure it is the real official Acura warranty.

If you are going to ditch the car in 4 years then not worth it. Also depends on your peace of mind.

I don't remember the exact price, but it was around $1000, and was less than $1100.

Oh, and don't buy into that "don't get the warranty and invest the money and that should cover all repairs". You know you will spend the money on something else

Please confirm that these posted prices are for the certified “ACURA CARE” plan.

There are other warrantees out there that are funded by “third party” companies.
I want to say away from one of those.

I am looking to buy one of these before my cars first birthday in June.

Thanks,
Shawn S
