I go for my 7,500-mile service on Tuesday and I was wondering what you guys paid.

According to the HELM, the service includes such things as:
Oil/Filter Change
Inspect Brakes
Rotate Tires
Inspect: Tie rods, steering gearbox & boots
Check Rack grease and steering linkage
Check all fluid lines for leaks and/or damage
Inspect all suspension components
Inspect Drive shaft Boots

They told me 115 minus my “preferred customer” discount.
And they would also deduct for not rotating the tires.
I don’t need this done because of my snow tires.

So what did you guys pay ?????

It says $72 on the receipt but it added up to $91.31 and I got ripped a little. They charged me $35 for parts (filter, oil, solvent, washer fluid, and an oil additive called Suprem+. This is where i ot into an argument over washer fluid. Mine was full of Rain-X when I took it in and they charged me for washer fluid. They ended up gvining me a credit. I guess that the dealer MUST make money by service and not much by sales anymore. I'm ready for 15,000 check and it's $300. I haven't done it yet. My manual is sitting on my desk this morning to figure out what needs to be done. Jens Heydel with Park Ave Acura was able to clear up a lot of the mystery regarding this but I'm not convinced that 15,000 is necessary.

I was charged 89.47 that included an oil change but I still think it was a little pricy. I thought they were a little cheaper though

hi, how much $$ should the 7500 mile be in NJ?

gto2050,
where did you go for the 7500 mile service?

I went to montclair acura for the 3750 mile servicing and they wrote next oil change to be 6750 mile. Should I do it at 7500 mile to do both the oil change and tire rotation?

Read the manual and oil change is at every 3750 mile intervals, right?

Jens,
I am not using sythnetic oil. Should I stick to 3000 mile oil change interval as written by Montclair acura and then go for tire rotation at 7500 mile?

Thanks.

My first service (and possibly my last) was done at Ramsey Acura. I have since switched my allegiance to Park Avenue Acura primarily because of Jens Heydel. These guyus talk cars so they got my business. I hate talking to dealer service personnel who think you are or treat you as an idiot.

just follow the manual and do it every 3750 miles. i don't why they would tell you at 6500 or something.
