How many miles on your Comptech springs

How many of you with Comptech springs only are getting up there in mileage? Any problems now that you didn't have early on? ie. Tire wear, shock wear, more rattles.

H&R Sport with OEM shocks?

Does anyone here uses H&R Sport with OEM shocks? If so, any problems? How is the ride? Height?

Let see I just changed the tranny fluid at 18K? I've had the springs on since November, so I'm guessing prolly about 12000 miles on them? On the stock shocks too.

FYI, we have a magnetic ATF drain plug :-D

my shocks have gone to hell now after about 20k+ miles with them. i'm in desperate need of replacement but still don't have enough $$$ yet. the ride is getting bouncier and bouncier everyday. my car has gotten lower i think, the rear wheel is near tucked... but it could be just me.

This is not good. Chris, do you primarily drive around Irvine and Orange County? Hmm...the roads/highways are much better than LA, and I don't see how that would be a factor.

Just installed some KONI's after 45k maintenance

I have had the stock shocks, Comptech springs, and sways since about 12k on my car. I have had to replace my stock tires at 22k and just replaced my shocks at 45k because things were starting to feel a little unsafe

The dive into the Koni's was a little hard to swallow at first, but after having them on for about 4 days now I am getting used to the ride, and they do feel a little better than the stocks shocks did a week ago. The front end of the car rose (sp??) by about 3/4's of an inch after the Koni install, before it looked considerably dropped and getting lower (I guess in my mind) everytime I looked at it.

Talked to Comptech and @ about 50k that is when they would estimate the stock shocks to be wearing considerably with the lowering springs, and time to upgrade.

I have all 4 corners of the car set to 1 turn on the Koni's and the ride is nice (but ever so mildly rough at some points), and at the higher perch setting on the Koni's.

I've been meaning to post some pics's of the ride height (both front and rear), but haven't had a chance to take the 'after pics' yet. But as soon as I do I will post em'.

The Koni's I believe are worth it if they are going to last me the rest of the life on the car , but if I haveto replace them shortly (which is very, very, doubtful) I would think otherwise.

I’m glad to see the honest reports of future maintenance being discussed here.
That’s much better then the usual post of “get them they make the car look cool” stuff I usually see.

WITHOUT springs, what do you think the life of the OEM shocks would be?
I had 110,000 on my 91 Legend Coupe and they were still fine.
On other cars I’ve owned, I had to replace shocks/struts at 50/60 thousand.

Tl owners who have comptech springs and stock shocks have gone around 45k without problems or changing the shocks.

Well..

From talking to the dealer, the factory shocks and springs should last the life of the car if not longer (that's what i've heard).

Don't have any reason to doubt them.

No that's VERY good. 20k+ with Compech springs and the stock shocks is more than you should expect. After all, the stock shocks are only meant to work with stock springs so you should be thankful for ANY mileage you get out of a half-assed... er half-upgraded suspension like we use.

I have around 15k with my Comptech springs and stock shocks and they're fine so far!

Thanks for the info Chris, I'll take your tips in consideration. I'll either wait till my stock shocks go out and buy some Konis, or save up more for some type of coilovers by Tanabe or Tiens.
