I am under the impression that its a two hour job. I called a speed shop, they are saying it will be 3 to 4 hours. WTF? Someone shine some light on this please.

The Acura flat rate time is 1.6 hours for the front, and 1.6 hours for the rear. These times are established for Acura technicians, who are familiar with the car. It may take a speed shop 4+ hours for the installation.

Well, I asked him, have you done a CL?, he says No, have you done an Accord?, he say No. I am not very confident in that guy and then he also said I gotta leave the car for the whole day. WTF

Park Ave wants 220 for the install, at 75 an hour, thats little less than 3 hours. So I guess 2-3 hours is reasonable but not 4, and the fact that these guys never done even an accord, does not inspire confidence in me.

yikes...for as long as it takes...
i guess you could help the process by removing the rear seats and such first...
no need to make him spend an hour removing seats that'll take you 10mins. No other car shops around?

My advice would be to go somewhere else. While its not rocket science, a little knowlege of how to do it can avoid future problems. Also, make sure to do a 4 wheel alignment as part of the deal- the camber will be out! You don't necessarily have to come to us, but please don't trust your car to someone who has no idea what they are doing- you would probably regret it!

I got my springs installed yesterday .. and before they started workin on em (Midas), I inquired about the alignment .. they said I should definitely get it aligned about 4-8 weeks after I get these installed. doing them right away would be a waste since the springs would readjust and settle over time once they've had some weight on em.
but yeah, my alignment feels a tad off .. veers to the right (especially when I brake).
