how long to order transmission

Of those who have had transmissions replaced, how long did you have to wait for the dealer to get the new transmission in? It's been 2 weeks for me, and no word yet. However, I'm hoping the longer it takes, the more likely they are to have fixed whatever problem these things have. Mine's still drivable, with very intermittant slips. The parts guy said however, that he thinks they've fixed whatever has been going wrong, but he wouldn't give details, or didn't know any yet. I would imagine they don't want to give out too much information until they have some kind of official detail.

I was told today that there are just about 190 transmissions on backorder. The service manager said he honestly had no idea when to expect my new transmission to come in. He just told me to call them back after 2 weeks if they haven't called me by then.

Just received word today that my transmission is in. It took exactly two weeks to arrive. I guess that's not bad. Hope it's a good one!

I just got my car back. Took a week and a half to get the tranny from backorder.
Steering, brake, and throttle input feel tight as ever. I hope it was really a defective transmission and I don't have to take it back after warranty runs out.
