How long did it take the shop to install your headers?

Just wondering how many hours of labor the shop charged you for when installing XS Headers.

Took 2 hours to install them myself and that's without a lift, so it shouldn't take a shop more than 1-2 hours. However, usually they have to go by what the book says they "should" charge you for the job which I think is 2-4 hours of labor.

2-3 book labor.
Most shops make you pay the book labor even though it was less time.

install ended up being 2.3 hours $170 at a adrenaline in STL. First thing they said when I got there was my nuts put up a good fight...and that they were kinda a pain. Figured they were gonna charge me for 4 hours since my car was there from 10-5:45.

Glad it worked out for you. That's some cheap labor rates. It's $80 min here. Most dealers are $95-$100

Well, at least you got it done. I guess you're near St. Charles.

I probly going to order it tonight. I was trying to look for an aem or injen used on the board before pulling the trigger incase the fog lights really do provide fitment issues.

The intake should go along with the headers nicely

BTW, how many business days did it take for you to recieve the intake after you won the auction?

I think it was a week, I went out of town and it was there when I got back. Let me know how the headers do, they are my next purchase. I already have exhaust and an intake installed, can't wait to fell the power once the headers are installed.

the headers were like a night and day difference for me. The car pulls so much harder through every rpm and is much faster in vtec. The engine also sounds much more aggresive, but not loud. It should go nicely with an intake and pulley...thats all I plan on getting now.

However, I do have some resonance at a certain rpm. It almost sounds like a very quiet rattle or a bee in a can. I'm hoping it will go away within the next week as the headers heat up and settle. If not I will wrap the flex pipe with exhaust wrap
