I did it last night. Took 15 minutes. I made it easier on myself by using tire ramps to give myself more clearance under the car. But after doing it I could have fit without the ramps. Use a flat head screw driver to pop out the two clips/bolts (black plastic) that connect to the underbody splash panel. Pull the black splash guard back (don't worry it will bend easily) and behind that you will see the back of the roadlamp and the bulb wires. Turn the connector gently to remove the socket and bulb. Remove the stock bulb (not with your bare fingers, use a towel and do the same with the M6). Insert slowly and do not force because it's not a tight fit but there is little room to work with. Turn connector opposite way to tighten and follow these steps in reverse to finish. Good luck.

Do you or anyyone for that matter find that the polargs throw off a lot more light so there is a noticable difference when driving with them instead of the stock bulbs? I know they are a better match and are brighter but are they functional as well?

Closest to the HIDs there is. Alot britter and without that stupid yellow light look. I don't understand why Acura used them in the first place.

U don't even need to go underneath the car. Use a long ass screwdriver and unscrew it from the front.... I have noticed that the road is a bit brighter with the M6's.

There is a post in the FAQ about how to rewire your road lamps. The first 4 pictures show how to take the road lamp housings out. I did both in less than 10 minutes and didn't even have to get on my back.

Here is a link:

CHOD has a nice FAQ on how to replace the road lamp, use it because it is really helpful!

why would you take out the lamp, just reach up in front of the wheels, turn the socket and pull it back, there is plenty of slack in the wire, i did mine in less than 2 minutes, 1,2,3 it was done

I have very clear directions/pictures on my web page at www.wizardsworks.org/chod/acura

It is very easy to do, and should only take a few minutes with a long philips screwdriver.

I recommend pulling out the light housing versus reaching under the bumper. The M6 bulbs are fairly large, and several people have broken their bulbs putting them in or pulling them out.

If you pull out the light housing it is much easier to see what the heck you are doing, and your chances of breaking the bulb is reduced.

Getting the broken bulb pieces out of the lamp housing is a total nightmare.

Well I put them in last night and it was a piece of cake! Seriously 5 minutes. Looks cool so far. Don't think they quite match the HID's but much better than stock. I think they put off a ton more light on the road too. Haven't driven it yet at night since I put them in but I will see tonight. I figure it must be brighter going from 5W to 18W!!! Thanks for all the help. My first mod! Car feels like its 400 HP now haha!!!

From up close, they don't look like they match at all. If you can have someone drive your car behind you or just walk 50 feet in front of your car, you will see that they match much better than up close.
