How to debadge...
Searched the forum and there's no official thread or explanations on how to debadge the rear.
Do you guys just pull the badging off or do you have to use a heatgun? I've never did anything like this before and I don't wanna ruin my car.

Don't use a heat gun, use a blow dryer and go letter by letter until you touch them and they're hot. Then used dental floss or fishing line behind each letter til they come off. Heat them enough and you wont have to take off as much glue.

When I debadged my car I did the following (Keep in mind I only removed the 3.2 TL & Type-S emblems, but the same process would apply everything else except the A):
Used a blowdrier to heat up the emblem (1-3 minutes)
Used dental floss strung from one hand to the other, and ran it behind the emblem
After emblem was removed, used Goo-Gone to get rid of the excess adhesive
After excess was removed, claybarred and waxed the area
Took about 5 min. total for both emblems.

FYI Terpentine can be used instead of Goo-Gone, just don't leave it on the car for more then a few seconds. We did this at my buddy's house and had no problems. We still claybarred and waxed afterwards, looked perfect
I wouldn't reccomend it if your car is over 2 years old though. The sun will have slightly faded the paint and when you expose the paint behind the badge will be a different color than the rest of the car.

Good luck!

Yeah, and if it doesn't look good, I'll just drive around with "CURA", which means girlfriend in my language.
I remember awhile back, when I first got the car (sr. year of HS)... someone tried to steal my 3.2CL Type-S badge. All they could do was crack the bottom off the 3. ... :ghey:
