How to chirp hard in second (not gate shifting).
I've noticed that when I start the car, and just take off in regular weather, the car chirps hard in second. After about 30 seconds of driving, the car is back to smooth shifting. I raced this G and chirped in second cuz we just fired up the cars and raced. his friends thought I had a manual. anybody else notice this?

yes. I can't chirp my tires once the car warms up. If it do it's rare. I have CT headers, and AEM intake.
I get a real good chirp in the 1st mile before it warms up.
Only thing I found interesting is that my car would always chirp with the pervious ECU. Since it was replaced with the last tranmission I have been having the same experience as you.
So I don't drive it hard for the 1st few minutes...

well, I have toyo proxy tires and the car doesn't always chirp in second. just when I start her up and speed off. It's def the power delivery, rather than the tires being hot. The amount of horsepower being put down to the wheels is felt by the car lunging forward and then chirping, rather than the tires just letting go. after a few seconds, the car doesn't lung forward as hard and the tires don't chirp.

I NEVER run my car hard when first started for that day ! If you continue, your asking for transmission problems. I ALWAYS wait 1 mile before wot so the tranny fluid warms up !
I've also always have a slight vibration for one mile, indicating COLD tranny fluid......since DAY ONE I bought the car.........Now I'm not talking about "warming" the engine up by sitting in the garage for a few min. Drive easy for the 1st mile before wot....

There are a crap load of variables as to why you are not chirping once the car is warmed up. 1 the tranny is cold and will shift harder. Another is the ecu hasnt really had a chance to full adjust timing. Once the car is warmed up and reaches normal operating temperatures, the ecu will adjuts the fuel curves, timing, ignition and all that stuff so that the car will run normal. You notice this even more when its hot and humid the car doesnt get as much oxygen as on a cold day and the ecu adjusts to that slowing you down compared to colder days where the air is dense and cool. Also tires heating up have a lot to do with it. Go start your car in the moring and get on it since you do it anyways, and see how you can light em up. Then drive the car around for a few miles and see how they light up less.

screw the chirps!!!
did you beat the g?
details
My old tranny allowed the car to really chirp hard into second. It was just a hard shift every time. The new one is so much smoother. It will do it when cold in the morning, and will still do it at night or basically when it cools off, but in the heat of the day after the car has been warmed up--especially on my new tires, it won't do it at all...
