How BIG Can You Go?

Well lets see... how does a 16" slotted front rotor sound, with a 6-pist cal?

If you are feeling girly, I suppose you could go 11", 12", 13", 14" or 15" rotors...

http://www.ksportusa.com/asp/brake_kits.asp

BTW, they also have 11 - 16" rear rotors as well.

You can thank Ryan, All Mine, for the find.

IIRC, the DC2 Type R and 98-02 Honda Accord brake kits fit our cars.

Sometimes bigger isn't better. More pistons doesn't always mean more stopping. A 6 or 8 piston caliper is way too much for the CL/TL. And to fit a 15" BBK you would at least need a 19" rim and a 16" would require 20" wheels. That's just to clear the barrel; that doesn't mean it would clear the spokes.

Why don't you just and 90 lbs rims. 16 inch rotor would add way way to much rotating mass. Completly usless

BMFBK! The only thing I would put those on is an Escalade with 28" rims.

I like the look of the K-sports.

lol >_<... i dont think i would spend 6grand on a bbk >_<. lol... quick question though... rolling fenders prevent rubbing... when does rubbing occur? when u go over bumps or when just driving in genral. I get like thud noises when i drive on unsmooth road but i guess i dont get any rubbing like consistant non stop rub against fenders... i guess i really never quite understood was rubbing was >_<... care to explain to me

and that BMW LOOKS SICK!!!!

I think that is Lee's car. I forget his exact title but he is some sort of manager at ROTORA. I could be wrong though; but his car does look similar. 16" ROTORA BBK's are nice for the right vehicle, but I don't think a CL or a TL is one of them. In fact just a few months back we put a 15" 6 piston BBK on a LS3 Corvette that we supercharged and that was plenty enough for that car and it had 665 crank HP after the mods.

uhh yea, a 16" rotor and 6pist cal is def not needed for our hondas. I just thought it was nuts, and wanted to share with everyone...

aren't the ksport kits specifically for track use... or is it just the pad they come with.... you have to get it running in high temp.

It's cool. I even sell K Sport but I don't really agree with their theory that bigger is better. Too much caliper can just cause premature lockup of the brakes. Anyways, thanks for the link and discussion.
