How about CLK320 vs 330Ci instead?!?!

I'm ready for a more interesting comparison.

330Ci has RWD handling characteristics, similiar power, the same snob appeal and can be had for a good bit less than the CLK320.

Why would you choose one over the other?

no way

my sister has a clk320, its a horrible car... especially since its a MB... they tried to make it sporty, instead they made it too stiff, and it is sooo slow.. my stock 00TL would whip its ass... the clk430 will compete with the 330 speed wise, the clk320 will be nowhere near it.. but the 330 has an awesome suspension... imo, if u go for a mb, go for the new e-class, otherwise, stick with the bimmer

well the CLK320 is a bad ass looking car. But thats all its got going for it is LOOKS. Have you driven it? Its a soild boat...with not enough power. i wouldnt get the CLK unless it was the 500. Then again the 330 is looking a little old, and the new CLK looks updated and should stay that design for awhile now.

Oh but one great thing about that car is resale, benz holds value really well!!

Still not a good comparison. The CLK 320 is bottom line for that model. 330 is higher of the 3 series bimmer. Should be more like m3 vs clk55 or 330ci vs clk500. Those would have been better comparison and something the upscale community would have probably wanted to see. I still choose benz except for the m3. I'm dying to buy a new m3 6spd when funds are right.

actually the most intresting comparison that has been discussed so far on this forum has to be the car and bimmer "330CI vs CLS6spd". The cars were so close in terms of performance, but the writters picked the bimmer because of image, and rear wheel drive dynamics! people cried foul for weeks on this forum! the bimmer boyz then invaded the post with pics of their cars at the track taking turns, to rub it in everyones face. Now another honda accord is put up against a luxo-german car, and the accord wins, but because it wasn't rebadged an acura, we somehow side the benz??? people are so confused!!

see this is what bugs me about you. You like to start trouble. This thread has nothing to do with the CLS vs 330. So what was your point of you posting that?

trouble starts by itself on this forum. I mean look at the thread about the guy who went to go see a nissan z, and then said the cls is better than the z, because the z interior looks like ass! well, that started a 10 page flame war, for no reason.

330Ci is expensive, CLK320 is just overpriced. Not really a fair comparison since one is a drivers car and one is a cruiser. $50k is close to M3 territory.
