BMW 330Ci Performance Package
Do you love the 330i Performance Package sedan, but wish all its loveliness came in coupe or convertible body style? Well, sometimes wishes do come true. Enthusiasts at BMW Individual, a division of BMW M GmbH, have taken all the sedan?s goodies and thrown them on a couple of two-doors. Compared to a standard 330Ci coupe or convertible, the Performance Package two-doors get different camshafts and performance-modified Digital Motor Electronics, which yields a 10-horsepower increase (to 235 hp) from the 3.0-liter in-line six. A standard six-speed manual transmission includes a shorter shift lever and a shorter final-drive ratio.

According to BMW, the 330Ci Performance Package will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds—about half a second faster than a standard 330Ci. Complementing the added power are a new sports suspension, which is more aggressively tuned than the 330Ci's standard sport suspension, and 18-inch wheels with mixed-size performance tires. Outside, the 330Ci Performance Package is distinguished by an aero package, high-gloss Shadowline trim, and a specially tuned exhaust, while inside, cloth-and-Alcantara sport seats, an Alcantara sport steering wheel, and anthracite headliner with Black Cube aluminum trim relay the car?s sporty character. Production of the 330Ci coupe and convertible Performance Package will begin in March, with the first cars arriving at dealers in April.
