Holy shit ! I just washed my car since it was 74 in Northern California today, and jee......WTF.....my hood is full of small paint chips ! I know how lame HONDA is with the paint, but if this doesn't stop, I'll have to bring it up with my dealer ! At 22K miles, how many of you folks are starting to see, more and more everytime you wash your car ??? Should we all go in and complain ?

yeh-mine's starting to look pretty bad too
i only have about 7600 miles--i'm afraid of what my hood of my $30K car will look like in a year or so...

 

And let me tell you, I AM ANAL about keeping my car extremely CLEAN ! It is NOT like I abuse/neglect my car ! It is unacceptable !

$300 ~ 750 for the hood

depends on how decent you want the job done though

I had a ballpark guess of $300 for the hood to be repainted (prior to putting on 3M bra). I would love to see Acura have to repaint our chipped hoods. Is there a way to "encourage" them? Like a flood of letters to Road and Track?
