just looking around at the XS headers on ebay, since i was at a friends shop who showed me a XS-POWER turbo manifold which he refused to install for a customer due to the poor welding (it looked like they took a dremel and tried to sand down the poor welds inside the manifold...not to mention that the manifold put the turbo into the radiator and support.) As i was looking on ebay, i saw a ceramic header that says for 6 speed only, but its a different design, doesn't have the bend in the rear manifold, and does not use those compresion gaskets anywhere. Since i have not messed around or installed any header on this vehicle to understand which way it needs to bend to fit, i thought i would post it up so some of you could check it out and give an opinion on it.

sorry i'm not trying to take over this thread, but since everyone is talking about the XS and Comptech and headers for 6-speeds here, i thought i would mention alternatives if i saw any. I just saw a picture of a DC header for the CL/TL and it has a bend in it similar to comptech, wouldn't this fit the 6 speed? did DC redesign theirs? I would much rather use DC if they have made them to fit the 6 speeds. The part number is HHC5522, I'm gonna look into it some more to see if there is any confirmation of these fitting the 6-speed. Anyone else know about this?

 

For the Ebay auction I have no idea who's those are. There's no bend in the rear header for a 6MT CL, so they will not fit unless there's a bend. Unless the pic is not accurate. The description sure is NOT accurate. Not at all.

On the DC option they were supposed to make a new one, but they never said it would fit the 6MT cls. It looks like the correct bend from the pic, but again it could not be an accurate one.

 

where did the second pic come from? The first pic would not fit because it has no bend in the rear manifold. The second pic does. Interesting.

I saw these too, but noticed no bend. And they're only $95 on eBay.

 

It would be interesting to see the full pic of the redesigned DC sports header. Possibly Excelerate can provide some details on this new design.
