The DaVinci is the hottness no doubt. Soundstream used to be on my car audio dream team but effectiveness is the key this time. While Astroboy has a "nice" install - my install will have some "twists" to it and will a lil more creativity involved. I give mad props to Asto, but there will be no competition when it comes to creativity.

Are you doing the install yourself or having someone do it? That factors adds to "competition" points.

I always play an important role in my system, I am at the shop constantly checking up on new issues and challenges. The design layout was created by me with very few changes. There are several pieces or aspects of the installs regarding the box, door panels, kick panels, amp racks, monitor locations, HU locations, cross-over locations, engine compartment management, body kit, etc., however, other than my research there is lil hands on work.

all this money and your gonna use jl audio amps, and alpine speakers?

thats pretty messed.

i like astros equipment more than yours...

if u would have went with BRAX amps, Denon decks, Focals/Dynadio/Rainbow's, and Kimber cables......that would be different.

although, i bet that your alpine speakers will sound better than MOST people with focals, since your getting a seriuos install, and im guessing you will spend good time getting good imaging.

but then imagine if you would have got dynaudios/focals with a good install...

I have not heard an extensive amount of focal or dynaudios, even at that much more dynaudio than focal. I believe they are great speakers, however, I think you justed created a list of what you believe are the best brands. Well if all those are the best I believe you will find many of my components rated close seconds. JL 1000.1 has been rated one of the best amps by several magz that I have read. The amp was also directly builr for, in my belief, the best subwoofer currently the W7. That has been debated beyond enough, but that is my opinion. So I had to go with the JL amps. There is no argument that ALPINE F1 status is the greatest processor ever built, ever. That unit works hand in hand with the Alpine Head Unit. SO i just ruled out everyone of your best brands to just the midrange and high frequencies. I was loyal to JL and Alpine so I decided that the imaging that was created would allow for the highest breed of Alpine mid-high frequencies yet-the F1 status series. While I have heard your brands-not many have afforded to or been able to listen to these speakers. I have confidence that while my set-up may not be the best, it will still turn heads.

Naw-the sub will be in the trunk. The trunk lid has some designed fiberglass work being done though.

Yeah the car does look tore up, but if you dont have the vision than these pics mean nothing. I would love to post only the finished product but I am trying to show some people the kind of a process this is. Much LOVE.

Wow, nice work.. I though I was bad for the amount of money I dump into my CL.. So any plans in the future for some "GO" for your car, or are you just going for a "show" car?

There will be plenty of "GO". A Zex kit is being installed as well as intake and exhaust is already on. Headers will be on there way as well as a tranny cooler. Velocity Resources will probably doing all engine management installations, as me and Deanbluesi have been working hand in hand with the power components.

The door panels, kick panels and rear deck panels should be completed on Wednesday.

im sorry. but at this point it just aint happenin...

there is nothing robb's ride is missing whether its speed, sound, or style.

talking audio strictly... you already put yourself below his level by selecting subpar components.

ill reserve further comment until completion.

but you should practice this as well... dont go throwing around comments like your better then a car that has been on top for several years now.

you might, in your opinion, be putting together a better install because your fiberglassing.... but realize... the fiber/gel-coat trend came AFTER robb designed and completed his car.

just because its the style right now does not make it BETTER.

If I may ask SOOPA-what manufacturer's do you think are the best in each category? I never said mine was the "best" by the way, I simply stated that his car versus mine there would be no competition. I am on a whole different level, thats all. Also in your opinion what do you think makes one's car better than another?

i cant wait to see what this will look like, im sure u will love it, and your car will get respect...no matter what.

Although again, i like astro's stuff more than yours..but thats me.

From the amount of money i see you are spending, u could have easily got focals and a davinci amp....u chose not to, so its all good i guess.
