well to make a long story short i got pulled over today for my head light i get out and look the drivers side one is blinking like a strobe and both my high beams are on but very dim when just the head lights are on i flick my hight beams and the drivers side light goes out completly and the passenger one is working fine i turn the high beam off and it goes back to blinking can any one help me with this i know im new and not very known but i really dont wana get a ticket for this could it be a hid bulb going dead or a ballast hopefully not a wireing proble everything is stock on the wiring so please help thanks to anybody that does.

could be just a bad bulb or the ignitor...no biggie

 

soo should i just buy the bulb or wat is there any way to test this

 

so u got a ticket. i say fight it. i don't think that it would be JUST to give a ticket to something that is out of your control. record a video for evidence. it would be different if u KNEW about this problem for awhile and you didn't fix it. you should win.

 

well a fix it ticket but still i hate when my car is messed up like this soo does anone know what the culprit could be

 

swap the driver side and passenger side low beam bulbs, if it then flickers on the passenger side you know its the bulb, if it flickers on the driver side still you know its the ballast/ignitor

 

i tried but i cant seem to get that clip back on so i have eletrical tape holding in the bulb right now

 

is it under warranty???? If it is bring it back to acura

I got the same problem now; check the fuse if the fuse is blown put in another.If that blows it's the igniter. I'm lucky I'm still under warranty.

 

so i need a new ballast and ignitor or once you buy the ballast its comes with the ignitor

 

What happened when you put the drivers bulb on the passenger side ? That should have told you if it was the bulb or not... did the drivers side bulb work on the passenger side ?? If it did, than it's probably the drivers side ballast/ignitor...

The ballast/ignitor is one unit on the CL (IIRC they are 2 parts on the 2G TL for some reason).

If it is the ballast/ignitor check the black market, ebay and your local junkyards for a cheap replacement...

its your fog light wire. already happened before

 

wee how would you fix it is the fog lite wire loose or what is it please help this is killing me

 

Well i took out my fog lights, but left the wires. So my wires were being unused. So they gradually got in bad shape lets say. It created alot of sparks around the area, even my battery. It caused my driver side headlight to keep flashing in a VERY dimmed way, and my bright on that side would also not turn on. I had my wire cut off because i didnt have fog lights on anymore anyways. I am pretty sure you dont want to do that right?

 

i honsestly dont care im about to trade my car in so i just want the head lights to work so you have to cut them then and were abouts to you cut or can you insulate them
