OK, I'm close to actually ordering the Comptech headers. When I talked it over w/ my parents, my dad said that you have to buy the headers and the Comptech exhaust b/c the Comptech headers won't fit the stock exhaust b/c the hole is bigger (bigger b/c its an aftermarket header). IS this true!?!?!?!? or did Comptech account for this and the headers really would fit my stock exhaust????

Any comments are greatly appreciated so that I can finally order these headers!!!!!!

 

Yes it fits. Hole is the same size.

 

Same size, the diameter of the piping is the same, what gives you the increased HP is from teh design. When you take off the stock headers, you will see how short the 3 pipes are coming off the manifold. Therefore, you get a clutter effect when the air is pushing out through the exhaust.

With the Comptech headers, the pipes going to the manifold are a bit longer and allow for smoother exhaust escape, therefore letting the car breathe better. I think this is right, or maybe I am just so use to B.S ing my gf that I think its right>>>>

 

Just need the headers... they bolt up to the stock exhaust...

You should be, they are a sick upgrade. My girl has a stock CL-S, and when I drive her car on the highway it has decent Accel, but when I get in mine, it just feels like it has a different push at higher speeds.
