Help for a new car

Ok i'm in college and my parents are giving me money to buy a car. I'm looking for something in the 25K or less range. I can buy new or used. I was looking at integra GSRs, preludes, and some used acura CLs. I was wondering what would be a better purchase if they are all 2001 models that are used. The ones I found cost between 20-26K. I'm really curious on any problems that the CL might have. I don't know of any for the integra or the prelude and I didn't know about the problems with the auto tranny till i came in here. I'm also guessing that the TL has the same problem but I want to make sure. My parents have a 2000 TL with 22k on it and my Aunt has a 1999 TL with 40k on it. I thought it would be nice to know about when they normally go out.

Thanks for your help

first of all the tranny's "don't normally go out" The CL and TL board represent a very very small percent of all CL/TL owners. Plus we are all nit pickers about everything, even the smallest details. I think you should get a used 2001 CL, the factory warranty is until 50K so don't worry. Even after that you can get a ext warranty. My CL has been perfect!, not one problem so far, no rattles, tranny problems or anything.

I'm with Smitty, get the extended warranty and enjoy a great car.

RSX all the way. Since its being brand new, theres no one else that has driven it and fucked around it. That way you can break in the car the way you want.

personally I would wait untill the nissan Z comes out, and then buy the base model. Sure, the interior would suck compared to the base cl, but it will be a performer. Of course, I dont know if you have the patience to wait 4 more months
