Hi Guys,

I need some help here!

My car with 105K miles on it has all of a sudden started:

- Idling at like 400-500 and stalling sometimes at stops.

- The check engine light comes on for a few hours and then goes out.

- On the way home just now the VSA warning light and the VSA ! light came on.

- When I lifted my foot from the gas, it would jerk back, like if you downshift a manual to too low a gear.

I called acura and they think the valves need adjusting, but I don't think so. I figure either a sensor, like O2 or and EGR valve. Or worst case the FIFTH transmission I've had is failing.

Please help with some info...I'm taking the car to Acura in the morning, but I don't want to go in blindly.

Thanks!

Jeez...that has to suck. Prepare to get another tranny. Yours sounds like it's taking a dump like others have.

Thanks for the comments...

I have only gone to one dealer, who is the best...Oakland Acura in the SF Bay Area. They could not be better both technically and "humanly".

The first time it failed, they ordered parts and after a week the mechanic fished the job and took it for a testdrive. While on the test drive the "new" tranny failed. After another week waiting, I got it back. The newest unit is 15K miles old and I am not a hard driver. It seems that if you use the manu-matic you are doomed.

The milage will not be an issue and they suspect a tranny failure, but we will see. I have a brand new TSX to play with, so its not all bad. Its a cool car, it has nav and all the techie toys one could ever want. The only thing it lacks is power and a "heavy", stable road feel like the CL has. It feels like driving a go-cart not a car.

I thought lemon law only came into effect if the problem is not fixed, or the dealer is uncooperative. Besides I have 105K miles now, so i have no options, right?

I'll post an update later...Michael
