Help! My '03 CL-S is sluggish!
So I just hit 100k miles, and I havent driven it routinely for 6 months or so, and I've noticed the car's acceleration is very sluggish! Any suggestions? I put in new NGK spark plugs the other day with no difference. I bought some seafoam and will try that, but i'm not sure what else to do-i suspected a clogged fuel filter, but from others' posts it seems like that should never be a problem. Please any suggestions?

check your IMRC valve and do what pois said, but leave it unconnected for 1-2 hours. After the spirited drive, park it and drive it the next day. You should feel a slight shidder in idle, thats normal, but then you will feel that start to go away and the car will feel REAL fast. Hope it works for you!

take out the 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse box inside the engine bay by the passenger side firewall. this will instantly reset everything related to the ecu..
I disconnected the battery for a day on my CL and it didn't get rid of my CEL so i do NOT trust this method... DO NOT TRUST.
REMOVE 7.5 amp fuse for 10-15, then put it back in and go for a rip!!!!
I would do seafoam prior to this as u will get a CEL (misfire code) and pulling the 7.5 amp fuse DELETES this instantly.
when sea foaming use the hose connected to the throttle body!! plug the hose on one end... attach a longer hose to it and then slowly suck up 1/3 of a can of sea foam up (you will likely have to feather the throttle cable to keep the engine revs up so it doesn't DIE) my car was SO hard to keep from dying FYI. so just be warned
try it out and let us know wtf is up

i know this thread is kinda old but i was wondering is my car running sluggish or is it something else?
i would step on the gas going about 35-40mph then let go the car will seem like a down shift feeling.. is this how it feels when it runs sluggish or is sluggish only on accelerate? and it does seems slow on accelerate too...

I tried following this advice, but there is no 7.5 amp fuse in the engine bay. So for anyone wanting to reset ECU w/o disconnecting battery the fuse is in the passenger side dash. It is a 15 amp fuse marked '13' and labeled 'backup'.
