Hey all

Well, I have NGM acura and decided to tint it. I'm in PA and i know that can't go lower then i think 25% tint or something or am i wrong?

I was wondering should i tint my side windows with 35% tint and back and small side windows 5%? would it look good on my car?

or should i just get 25% all around?

any suggestions, pics, comments welcome

What I have is "limo tint" on the back window (20%) and I have 35% or close to it (37%) one the sides. That is what is legal in MA and I have been checked twice and they let it slide for being slightly under (once by a cop and once by some dude with a mega-tinted car along side the shop). NH has a no tint law. My buddy got busted for rolling through a stop sign with a MA reg car in NH and got a tint violation too. fFgure out where you may go as well as what you want.

 

Its all your own prefrence. Choose what you want, its your own car isnt it?? Well I would make up my own mind then. What you need to do is go to where you are getting it tinted at, and look at some samples. And when you get it tinted please purchase good film, and not a crappy film, it makes a hell of a difference on the looks and quality.

 

Im from PA tint laws state max tint is 35% no tint on windshield allowed. Anything lower thn 35% you run the risk of getting pulled over

 

Actually you're all wrong regarding the "law" in PA.
There is a service bulletin that cops like to use, which basically says anything less than 70% transmittance is illegal and he can make you take them off. Pretty much any tint is grounds for pulling you over and writing you a ticket, but very few cops enforce that. (And yes, I did get unlucky in my previous cars)

I haven't tinted my white CL yet, but I will probably go with an even tint all around, most likely 20%.. IMO do what you think looks best, since you are going to be the one driving and looking at it the most..

But also i was wondering does anyone have Naples Gold acura tinted?

I just want to see how it looks on a gold car. I've searched forums yesterday for like 3 hours and couldn't find any tinted Gold acura. Found every other color, but Gold.

I thought limo tint was 5%?

I have 20% eventhough the law in NYC is 75% if your gonna break the law might as well get what you want. Besides once you have tints, it like an excuse to pull you over. I got pulled over the next day after doing my tints, but only because I ran a light. Got a verbal warning...

 

^^^Yeah limo tint is 5%. I have it all around except on the windshield and have not been bothered by the cops once. Looks great too.

Earlier I said "tints" instead of tint, TINT IS NEVER PLURAL...some users get pissed at stuff like that.

Hi just bought this 03 gold CL and tinted it and it loooks awesome

 

I'd go 20%. I had 5% on my CL when I had it. I thought it looked great, but I got pulled over all the time for it.

 

And one more. I also had the windows with 20% on the front driver and passanger side and 5% for the rear windows.

Here is one of those. I don't think it looked bad at all like this for the most part. Sometimes the difference was really noticable. Sometimes not.

wow, i really like 20% tint now, looks really clean and nice, and i think it will look nice too on my gold acura. btw, i like your tl rims, they look nice too. do you know where i can by a set of those rims? cuz i'm looking for acura stock rims, and for some reason tl rims was my first choice, then maybe tsx or tl-s rims.

I did 20% all around accept the front, on the windshield I did 50% reflective to bounce off the heat!

 

I got my 2004 TL wheels from some guy here in NYC on craigslist.com I got them for 360 with the tires. One rim is scratched really bad. The tires were useless also. The money I paid the replace the tires and for the rim, might as well I had went and got some 18's but the 17's are good for the bad NYC streets.

 

FYI....I had TSX wheels on my CL. Personally, I thought they looked better than the stock CL wheels did. I found mine on the Blackmarket.

Mine were in really good shape. I think there were some minor marks and the tires were all in good shape. The price was around $400 for the set.
