Help - Front Right Strut Leaking - Rattling Sound - Abnormal Steering

I noticed a couple of weeks ago I started getting this rattle from the front pasenger area. I also noticed the car pulling abnormally to the right under hard acceleration. I tried to ignore it, but it wouldn't go away. I remember hearing people bitch about rattles, so I took it to the dealer thinking they might know what it was, but he said he wanted 80 bucks just to look at it since I have aftermarket suspension, fuck that.

I thought it might have been the Cusco STB, so I removed it, but I still had the same rattle.

I jacked the car up and noticed there seems to be fluid leaking from the front passenger strut. If it does turn out that the strut is busted, can it be repaired? Or would I have to get a whole new one? What else could fluid & rattles mean?

If I have to get a new one, I don't know what the fuck I'll do. I hope Zeal will sell it to me like that. If not, it just might be the end of the CL for me. If its not one thing, its another with this car.

it will definately need replacement, it wont be covered under warranty for sure as its easy to prove that lowering springs fuck up stock shocks. i dont think theres ever been a member who was lucky enough to get free shock replacements with aftermarket springs, etc. unless the springs were sold and installed by the dealer, its going to cost you the labor and parts. luckily stock shocks are cheap as shit. but now may be a good time to upgrade to some koni's...or spend the 1000 on coilovers.

I have Zeal B6 Coilovers.

No comptechs or eibachs here. If it was the stock stuff, I really woulnd't care, but because its the Zeal coilovers, I'm worried about finding a replacement.

Not much a dealer is gonna be able t'do since it's all aftermarket. Sucks, though. Same thing happened w/my old car (blew the front-left strut). Lousy Frisco potholes are likely what did it.

Best bet would be to see if you can warranty it or, failing that, get a single replacement strut and swap it.

Thx Darrin, but the dealer is about 3.5 hours away from me.

Gonna try to contact Zeal Today and see if I can get another strut.
