HELP with FM modulation (or those with navi conversion)
Are there any brands of FM modulators that do not have an ON/oFF switch? I thought that FM modulators don't have those switches, and that it would only take over the frequencies that its designed for it to output at.
Certain radio stations that I frequently listen to cannot be heard when the FM modulator is on... the brand i have is a Clarion, and it seems nice overall, but are there any modulators that don't have on/off switches and just output at the frequencies they're designed to, instead of causing static to appear on random stations? Or do all FM modulators do this? Thanks for the advice in advance. -Andy

First and foremost, DON'T USE A FM MODULATOR!!!! Read all of the following threads for a thorough education on the conversion process and pay special attention to the portions dealing with audio quality. Any Questions after reading, just contact me!

Yup, the Audio Control Four.1 eq and the eclipse 21010 eq both offer line level boosters and adjustable volume control. The nice thing about both of these units is that they have a switch built in as well so you don't need the sony switch. The downside is finding a place to mount them for easy access(I have a mystery mod in the works to address this).
At the same time finding the best combination is a trial and error process. I initially started with a DVD player that didn't work well audio wise but my second try (Panasonic DVD-PV40) is PERFECT. It does have a headphone output.
