Help!! Car revs by itself

Help me, my car is revving the engine by itself. I just went out to warm up my car and when i came back the car was revving by itself. It would rev from about 1000rpm's to about 2,100 rpms, i think it may be my tranny going? what should i do??

I just drove it around the block, doesnt want to shift into 3rd, and when it automatically shifts into second, the car starts to jerk and "brake" by itself. I have 29,000 miles. I just called Acura and they are towing it now.

This sucks so bad, right before Christmas, I doubt I'll even have it for New Years. I also just Zaino-ed it the other day. My dealership is also anal about anything that is not OEM, so I know they are going to try and pull something with my intake, like that has anything to do with the Tranny, morons.

my old 91 legend did that when it was warming up. but with our new cars that should not happen, just take it in and see what the dealer says about it...

it has nothing to do with the tranny i think he said while idling...the tranny prob is unrelated more than likely

My car was doing something similar. Idle fluctuated up to 2300 and down. The idle caused the car to pull when stopped, coast to 15 mph with no pressure on the gas pedal. Shifted rough into all gears. But, when I let off the gas (to drift) the engine would brake the car. Could not duplicate at dealer, nothing fixed. I think it is the Throttle Position Sensor or Idle Air Control. I have a Comptech drop in filter. Maybe some oil is getting lose, affecting a sensor.

Acura ain't losing shit! We the owners are the ones that are losing time and money trying to get a tranny which didn't have enough R&D time debugged! The owners are the losers here.... not the big corp.. don't worry about them, they'll sell enough Civics and Accords to cover a few replaced trannys!

Dont worry that is all normal. When the car in very cold it revs its self to warm up the engine. When it first happend to me i was scared but trust me it is normal. you can trigger it if you want when it is very cold just press the gas a tad and it will set it off to rev itself. But it will only happend if the car is very cold. Good feature and a old feature at that. goes to 2100 rpms then drop then goes back up your not the only one dont worry
