Help! broken bypass valve

The plastic structure in the inside of the valve has broken. Where did anyone go buy a rubber coupler or something similar ?

I went to the hardware store and found some 2" and 3" rubber pipe donuts, which would have worked awesome. But the pipe is a little smaller than 3" in diameter!

anyone?

Hmmm... Is this the valve defect AEM was recalling a few months back???

Siggy, it may be worth calling AEM and seeing what they say.

Should I just make my intake a short ram for now until I get a new bypass?

I think that'll be my plan unless someone can come up with a different solution.

I also think my pipe is 2.75" not 3.0" wonder how much of a difference that'll make anyway. I'll verify that when I get home.

Not too sure.

How did you find out that it broke? Ack. I didn't know about the recall.

I got in my car this morning and heard a whistle that wasn't normal from the intake. (turning the A/C on makes the noise very noticeable) After I popped the hood I shook the intake softly and it became louder and softer for a second which I could then hear comming from the bypass valve. Then I shutoff the car and pulled the bypass out. I noticed it was now flexible! So I pulled back the rubber valves from the inside and noticed all of the inner structure pieces were broken accept one, which was the only piece of the plastic structure securing it in place!
