Help: Battery is dead, need a jump start

This time its my fault, I forgot to turn off lights inside the car, and the battery is dead. My friend will be coming with jumper cables, but how the heck can I open up the battery so I can connect the cables? Last time I looked there is some sort of cover on the battery, how do I remove it?
Thanks!

Well...

Just pull up on the cover, it should come right off.

Are there any clips/screw that hold the cover... Should I just apply pressure and pull it upward from one end?
Thanks

Do I need anything else besides entering radio code, like ECU programming or something like that?

My battery cover has one or two small nuts you have to undo, then it lifts right off.

Yes, you must have the Radio Code, I let my battery die, took me 3 weeks to finally get the code. You cant get it from anywhere, so make sure you have it, should be on a card in your glovebox. Mine wasn't, so if yours isnt, you can do what I did, go back to dealership you bought the CL from, mine kept a file on my purchase, the guy said they keep the files for two years after purchase/lease date. The code was located on that paperwork.
Now its written down and in my glovebox. No ECU re-programming needs to be done that I am aware of.
