i drove my brother-in-law's '02 330i and it felt very laggy to me.

a thing i never knew about bmw's though is when u press the accelerator all the way in. it hits a button and revs the engine. i'm guessing to a little more power to pass people.

I've raced a couple, I'm always in front. They are RWD, so they have a slight advantage off the line, but once in 3rd, its all over

i was going to buy a 330ci 5 speed before i got the cls but then i test drove a cls and everything is better and i bought it becuase of how much faster it was . what an idiot

I have both a 330i auto and a CLS but my CLS is the 6 Speed and it's way faster than my 330i without a question. The 330 is a nice car is just doesn't feel as strong as the CLS, but if it was an M3 that's different story those cars are fast I regret not getting the M3

lots of mod potential for the 330 though, esp NA, much more so than the CL-S. cam gears, cam shaft, shark injector, bored out pistons, etc. also they handle incredibly well.

cl-s definitely more powerful stock or just lightly modded (i/h) but it cant take the twisties like the 330.

im selling my cl-s for 330xi 6spd and i will miss the power... but i'll embrace the twisties im sure

plus i can always SC the 330xi right?
